The PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test is a blood test associated with prostate health and the measurement of PSA is commonly used as an initial screening tool for prostate cancer.

However, PSA is not cancer-specific, and PSA testing alone cannot differentiate between aggressive prostate cancer, indolent cancer, or other benign prostate conditions.
